Offered here is a very nice example of a WW2 Italian fascist GIL (youth organization) badge commemorating a gymnastic festival in Sardinia. The fascists were very keen on promoting physical activity and physical fitness. Badges like this were produced for participants to have as a souvenir of their participation. Marked on the reverse that this badge was made in Florence. Overall very nice piece and displays nicely!
